Hello amazing people out there 🙂 I am Doro, a 23 year old travel enthusiast from Germany. The travel bug hit me when I was really young, when my parents took me and my 4 siblings all over Europe. The first time I traveled by myself, I was 12 years old. Since then, I took a lot of trips in school and with friends. When I was 19, I finally left Europe for the first time and went to the US for one year. Since then my wanderlust has grown more and more. I have been to so many countries in the past couple of years, met so many amazing people and made a lot of experiences.

Now, I just graduated from university, so what would I do other than travel? It was quite a coincidence that I heard about Spicyroad. But 10 days later I boarded an airplane and went to join the crew in Georgia. Here I am, doing what I always wanted to do – traveling and creating something beautiful!

This adventure means a lot to me. I come from a society where it is normal for women to be powerful and to speak up for themselves. It should be normal for every women on this planet! It is our right to decide who we are, whom we are with and what we do with our lives! The flow of refugees coming to Germany, brings me face to face with a culture where women are powerless to some extent. Can that be changed?

I guess I’m trying to cope with this cruel world of massive inequality. I was lucky to be born privileged, but feeling responsible for those who were not. Traveling always reminds me how beautiful our planet is. Meeting all these generous people throughout my adventures gives me hope for humanity. Especially with this one, I am hoping to have an impact in this world, even if it’s minor. I strongly believe we are doing something good here.

Well, this could go on forever… But I’m busy hitting the road and changing the world!
